Faculty
Dr Genevieve Carbonatto
Dr. Geneviève Carbonatto is an Australian Emergency Medicine specialist and POCUS educator with a special interest in echocardiography in critical care. She is the founder of the ultrasound teaching program and clinical lead for ultrasound at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. She has developed several ultrasound courses and workshops.
Dr James Dent
Dr. James Dent is an Emergency Physician at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA) in Sydney, Australia, and a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney. He is a specialist in emergency medicine and has a strong interest in medical education and ultrasound. Dr. Dent is known for his dedication to teaching doctors and medical students and has won several awards in this field.
Dr Nick Sidler
Dr. Nick Sidler is a Staff Specialist Emergency Physician and clinical lead for ultrasound at the Concord Repatriation General Hospital in Sydney, Australia. He is an enthusiastic POCUS and Critical Care ECHO teacher.
Dr Cian McDermott
Dr. Cian McDermott is a consultant in Emergency Medicine at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin. He is also the Director of Emergency Ultrasound Education at the hospital and an Associate Clinical Professor with UCD School of Medicine.
Dr Asim Shah
Dr. Asim Shah is an Intensive Care Specialist and Emergency Physician in Sydney, associated with Concord Repatriation General Hospital (CRGH), also holding a role at the University of Sydney as a Clinical Senior Lecturer, involved in research and clinical practice in Critical Care medicine. He’s a key figure in Sydney’s critical care community, working at Concord Hospital and contributing to research and education in Intensive Care.
Dr Chris Harrington
Chris Harrington is an emergency specialist at Prince of Wales, Royal Prince Alfred and Liverpool Hospitals. He is co-clinical lead for ultrasound at Prince of Wales Emergency Department. He has a keen interest in ECHO in the critical care setting and transferring that knowledge and experience to others in teaching
